MW4 Season 1 Battle Pass: Fastest Way to Tier 100
The MW4 Season 1 battle pass has 100 linear tiers and costs 1,100 CP. Premium catch-up carries you to the current day's reward up to day 50, so the real grind is Tiers 50–100. Here's how to get there fastest.

The MW4 Season 1 battle pass is a 100-tier linear track with 100+ rewards. It costs 1,100 COD Points, or 2,400 CP for the bundle. The biggest thing to know: premium owners who fall behind are automatically caught up to the current day's reward, up to day 50. So the first half of the pass mostly takes care of itself, and the real grind is getting from Tier 50 to Tier 100. Here's how to do it fastest.
Season 1 battle pass at a glance
Verdict: buy it early, because the 10% boost and catch-up only help premium owners.
| Item | Detail |
|---|---|
| Structure | 100 linear tiers, mix of free and premium |
| Price | 1,100 CP (Battle Pass) / 2,400 CP (Bundle) |
| Catch-up | Premium only: moved to the reward matching the current season day, up to day 50 (50+ premium rewards guaranteed) |
| Instant boost | 10% Battle Pass XP boost for all of Season 1 |
| Key unlocks | Cronen Osprey (Tier 16), CSG-35 (Tier 36) |
| Tier 100 | "Bellum" Ultra Mosin-Nagant blueprint |
| Tokens in the pass | Double XP tokens: Player, Weapon and Battle Pass |
| BlackCell | 20 Tier Skips, 1,100 CP, XERO operator, Mastery Camo Track |
| Starts | Nov 6, 2026, midnight ET (9 PM PT Nov 5) |
Finishing all 100 premium tiers also unlocks completion rewards. These include the "Vantage" Blix skin, the "Blue Viper" Hyeon Burst blueprint and 200 CP. Finishers can also unlock eight more operator skins later in the season. If you buy the pass and then upgrade to BlackCell, you get the 1,100 CP back.
Season length and XP per tier haven't been published, so be skeptical of anyone giving exact hours to Tier 100.
How catch-up changes the math
Verdict: catch-up is a floor, not a ceiling.
Catch-up means a premium owner who plays lightly still reaches about the reward for day X on day X, until day 50. That has two consequences:
- The new guns come regardless. Premium owners will roll past Tier 16 (Cronen Osprey) and Tier 36 (CSG-35) on the calendar even if they barely play. If you want them sooner, you have to earn the tiers faster than the calendar.
- Tiers 50–100 are all you. After day 50 there's no safety net, and every tier comes from Battle Pass XP you earn.
So the fast path is to stay ahead of catch-up from day one. Every tier you bank early is one less tier to earn later in the season.
The fastest way to Tier 100
Verdict: stack every multiplier at once, and play long sessions instead of scattered matches.
1. Spend BlackCell skips at the right moment. The 20 Tier Skips are worth the same 20 tiers whenever you use them. Spend them on day one to grab the Cronen Osprey early (they take you past Tier 16), or hold them to clear the last stretch before Tier 100. If you're leveling the new guns this week, spending them early is usually better: an early Osprey gives you more time to level it.
2. Keep the 10% boost and add Battle Pass 2XP on top. The 10% boost is always on for premium owners. The pass and the Joint Fire event both give Battle Pass 2XP tokens. Save them for sessions where you'll play for the full timer.
3. Play Joint Fire as a full squad. Joint Fire's XP boost grows with your squad size, and its rewards include more 2XP tokens. Solo works, but it's the slow version.
4. Play the modes that keep you in the action. Battle Pass XP comes from playing, so time spent in menus and waiting costs you tiers. Busy maps like Shipment and objective modes like Grind and Drop Zone keep the fights coming. Our best Season 1 maps for XP and fastest XP farm methods guides go deeper.
5. Do daily and event challenges as you go. Weapon Camo events and Wager Match challenges pay out while you're playing anyway, so check the Events tab before each session.

Where bot lobbies and 2XP codes help (and where they don't)
Verdict: great for the guns and challenges inside the pass, not a battle pass shortcut on their own.
A bot lobbyfrom $3.99 is a normal match with 5 bots on the enemy team, lasting about 10 minutes. Kills and wins count like any other match, so it earns Battle Pass XP like any other match too. Its real advantage is kill density, which matters most for:
- Weapon levels on the Cronen Osprey (70 levels) and CSG-35 (42 levels) once you unlock them. See level the Cronen Osprey and CSG-35 fast.
- Kill-based daily and event challenges that would take several public matches.
- Player XP, which you're earning at the same time.
We won't claim bot lobbies multiply Battle Pass XP. They're fast matches packed with kills, and that's all. Bot lobbies carry on into Season 1 and are available from day one, November 6.
MW4 Double XP Codesfrom $7.99 give 1 hour of Double XP plus 1 hour of Double Weapon XP per code, which speeds up your rank and gun progress alongside the pass. If you'd rather hand off the rank grind entirely, MW4 Account Levelingfrom $12.00 covers that.
A realistic Season 1 plan
Verdict: front-load the first week, then steady sessions.
- Week 1: Unlock the Osprey (skips or play), max it, then push to Tier 36 for the CSG-35. Use Joint Fire with a squad whenever it's live.
- Weeks 2–7: Stay ahead of catch-up. Use 2XP tokens only during long sessions, and clear event challenges as they appear.
- After day 50: No more catch-up. If you're behind pace for Tier 100, this is when saved BlackCell skips and stacked 2XP pay off.
