Is the MW4 Season 1 Battle Pass Roadmap Out Yet? (Oct 2026)

No. As of October 11, 2026, Activision hasn't published an MW4 Season 1 battle pass roadmap. Here's what is confirmed about the pass, BlackCell, Warzone integration and the likely start date.

Is the MW4 Season 1 Battle Pass Roadmap Out Yet? (Oct 2026)

No. As of October 11, 2026, Activision hasn't published an official MW4 Season 1 battle pass roadmap. What it has confirmed: a 100+ reward pass, the BlackCell contents, shared MW4 and Warzone progression, and the Hajin and Zodiac Warzone maps. The pass does not go live at launch on October 23. It unlocks when Season 1 starts, and that date still hasn't been announced.

That leaves a gap between launch and the first pass tier where battle pass XP isn't counting yet. Soldier Rank, weapon levels and camos all start from zero on day one, so that time still matters. Most players will just grind it out. Some will use help like our MW4 Soldier Rank leveling servicefrom $4.10 so they're near max rank before the pass starts.

Quick-start checklist before Season 1

  1. Don't expect the pass on October 23. Activision ties the pass, BlackCell, COD Points and Tier Skips to the Season 1 pass appearing in-game.
  2. Vault Edition owners: check when you bought. If you pre-order or buy before or during Season 1, you get Season 1 BlackCell. If you buy later, you get it at the start of the next new season.
  3. Spend launch weeks on things that don't depend on the pass. That means Soldier Rank, weapon levels and early mastery camo progress.
  4. Watch the official Call of Duty blog. The Season 1 roadmap and battle pass blog usually go up a few days before a season starts.
  5. Last-gen Warzone players: plan to move. Warzone on PS4 and Xbox One is expected to stop working when Season 1 arrives.

In short, the roadmap graphic people are searching for doesn't exist yet. If a site shows you a full Season 1 tier list today, it's either guessing or repeating a leak.

When does the Season 1 battle pass actually start?

Verdict: probably early November, but that isn't official. Sources disagree, and the gap between their guesses is about a month.

  • The November 5 case. Black Ops 7's Season 6 battle pass is set to end on Thursday, November 5, 2026. Activision normally doesn't run two passes at once, so some outlets see November 5 as the earliest realistic MW4 start. Others point to an in-game timer that gives the same date. That would be only 13 days after launch, the shortest launch-to-Season-1 gap the series has had.
  • The later case. Some trackers use past launches instead. MW2 took about 19 days to reach Season 1, BO6 about 20 and MW3 about 26. Based on that pattern, they estimated anywhere from mid-November to mid-December.
  • Our read: November 5 is the date to watch, and a slip to November 12 wouldn't be surprising. Until Activision posts it, treat it as a guess.
Every date you see right now is an estimate. Activision's only official wording is that Season 1 arrives "shortly after" the October 23 launch.

What we expect the pass to cost

Verdict: likely the same as recent games, but MW4 prices aren't out. In MW3, the premium pass was 1,100 COD Points (about $9.99) and BlackCell was $29.99. The premium pass also paid back up to 1,400 COD Points across its 100 tiers, which is enough to buy the next season's pass. Activision hasn't confirmed MW4 numbers. The 1,100 CP and 20 Tier Skips already confirmed for BlackCell match that old setup, so big changes seem unlikely.

The Warzone side of the Season 1 roadmap

Verdict: this is the biggest part of Season 1. Season 1 is when Warzone switches over to MW4 content and the shared pass. Hajin becomes the new Battle Royale map, and it's the same map used for DMZ. Zodiac returns for Resurgence.

The part that's still unclear is older weapons. Some reports say MW2, MW3, BO6 and BO7 weapons stay in Warzone through Carry Forward, under a separate Legacy tab. Others describe a full reset that drops older cosmetics and weapons. Wait for the Season 1 patch notes before you assume your old blueprints carry over.

Related questions

Does the Vault Edition unlock the battle pass early? No. BlackCell, its 1,100 CP and the 20 Tier Skips all unlock when the Season 1 pass goes live. Owning the Vault Edition doesn't start the pass any sooner.

Can I level the battle pass by playing free Warzone? Yes. Progression is shared from Season 1 onward, so Warzone XP counts toward the same pass as multiplayer and DMZ.

What should I grind before Season 1 starts? Soldier Rank and weapon levels. They're live from day one and don't depend on the pass. Our MW4 launch day checklist covers the order we'd do things in. If you're thinking about prestige timing, see our MW4 prestige guide.

Will Ranked Play arrive with Season 1? It hasn't been confirmed. Recent Call of Duty games added Ranked Play weeks after launch, sometimes not until well into Season 1.

Bottom line

The Season 1 battle pass roadmap isn't out yet. The pass's structure, the BlackCell contents and the two Warzone maps are confirmed. The start date, prices and reward list are not. Expect the full breakdown on the Call of Duty blog a few days before the season starts, most likely around early November.

Until then, players will spend launch weeks on Soldier Rank, which takes a lot of matches. If you'd rather not do that part yourself, our MW4 account leveling servicefrom $4.10 can do it through normal gameplay. Otherwise, play it yourself and be ready when the pass goes live.
