Official launch requirements loaded (2026-10-19) Activision's launch progression guide published the Multiplayer and DMZ mastery challenges, the Completionist gates and the Pyroclast Weapon Prestige milestones; they are shown here as written. Two gaps remain: the three Warzone mastery challenges stay classified until Season 1, and the Platinum / Harmonic Break kill counts for every class except Assault Rifles are marked as leaked until the in-game menu confirms them on 2026-10-23.

Gold → Platinum → Harmonic Break per weapon, then Divergence is awarded automatically once 33 weapons hold Harmonic Break. Divergence is the gate into every Mastery 1 challenge.
Leaked count. Activision published the challenge type for every class but kill counts only for Assault Rifles. Counts marked with the warning icon come from pre-release footage (17 Oct 2026); the Assault Rifle numbers from that same footage matched the official guide exactly. They are replaced with the in-game numbers on launch day.

How many mastery camos are in Modern Warfare 4?
13: nine mode mastery camos (three each for Multiplayer, DMZ and Warzone) plus the four Pyroclast Weapon Prestige camos. Below them every weapon has 8 Military camos, 3 Special camos and the Completionist chain.
What are the MW4 Multiplayer mastery camo challenges?
Mercurial Drift: 10 kills in a match, 250 times. Polyatomic Reforged: 3 kills without taking damage, 300 times. Orion Reforged: 5 kills without dying, 500 times. The chain is account-wide and opens once you hold Divergence.
What are the DMZ and Warzone mastery camos?
DMZ: Chiral (2,500 Tier 3+ enemy kills), Ripple Tide (exfil with 2 LT dog tags in one deployment, 50 times) and Helio (25,000 kills with Legendary weapons on a Max Level Operator). Warzone: Parallax, Damascus Reforged and Empyros arrive with Season 1 and their challenges are still classified.
How do Gold, Platinum, Harmonic Break and Divergence work in MW4?
Gold needs all 8 Military and 3 Special camos on the weapon, then 15 kills in one Multiplayer match (100 in a DMZ deployment). Platinum unlocks once every weapon in the class has Gold and asks for a class-specific challenge, such as 50 headshots for Assault Rifles. Harmonic Break unlocks once all 33 weapons have Platinum, again with a class-specific challenge. Divergence is awarded for 33 Harmonic Break camos and opens the Mastery 1 challenges.

What are the Pyroclast camos?
The four Weapon Prestige camos, earned per weapon: Pyroclast when you enter Weapon Prestige 1, Pyroclast Terminus at Weapon Prestige 1 Max Level, Pyroclast Scatter at Weapon Prestige Master Level 150 and Pyroclast Cascade at Level 250.
