How Do You Get the F.N.G. M4 Blueprint in MW4?

To get the F.N.G. M4 blueprint in MW4, you have to finish all nine Boot Camp event challenges across Campaign, DMZ and Multiplayer before November 6, 2026. Here's every challenge, which ones hold people up, and how the deadline works.

How Do You Get the F.N.G. M4 Blueprint in MW4?

To get the F.N.G. M4 blueprint in Modern Warfare 4, you have to complete all nine Boot Camp event challenges across Campaign, DMZ and Multiplayer before the event ends on November 6, 2026. If you can't fit that into the next two weeks, our MW4 Boot Camp event servicefrom $22.99 clears all nine on your account through normal play.

You don't get the blueprint for finishing some of the challenges. Each challenge still pays out its own cosmetic or token, but the F.N.G. only unlocks once all nine are done. If you skip the DMZ printer task, you don't get the gun.

What is the Boot Camp event?

Verdict: it's MW4's first event, it's free, and it lasts about two weeks.

Boot Camp went live on October 22, the night the game launched, and runs until November 6. It's meant to walk you through each part of MW4, so the challenges send you to the Campaign, DMZ and Multiplayer, including new playlists like Inflation, Kill Block and Combat Outpost. The F.N.G. name points back to the training mission at the start of Call of Duty 4, and the blueprint references it with voice lines from that assault course.

There's also a broader reason to care. Coverage of the launch says Activision is moving away from weekly challenges and leaning on events across the MW4 cycle, so Boot Camp is likely the first of many limited-time grinds like this.

The split is one Campaign challenge, three in DMZ and five in Multiplayer. Altogether you get two 30-minute Double XP tokens and two 30-minute Double Weapon XP tokens, plus the F.N.G. at the end. Under MW4's new rules, token timers pause when you're not in a match. Our guide to 2XP tokens pausing explains how to get the full value from them.

Heads-up: Sources don't agree on everything yet. Most list the Inflation target as $1,000,000, but at least one says $100,000. The blueprint is also described as Epic in some places and Legendary in others. Check your in-game event tab before you plan around a number.

Which challenges actually slow people down?

Verdict: four are easy, three take patience, and two depend on skill.

The easy four

  • Mayhem: play one Campaign mission and it's done.
  • Lethal Operator: 20 kills in DMZ, and AI enemies count toward "enemies". Most players finish it while working on other things.
  • Combat Outpost: five vehicle kills in a 24v24 Ground War mode. Get in a tank and you'll have it fast.
  • Kill Block: 10 headshots across 1v1, 3v3 or 10v10 Gunfight. The 10v10 version gives you more targets per round.

The patience three

  • DMZ Level 5 and Get Printing: do these together. You need DMZ progress and FOB resources before printing five items, so they take a few deployments rather than one quick match.
  • Apex Skills: you need an Apex attachment unlocked before your kills start counting. If none of your guns are high enough level yet, this challenge is locked until they are.

The skill-check two

  • Proving Grounds: a B on the Intermediate Mobility Course. It's a timed movement course, so it tests mantling, sliding and route knowledge, not aim. A B is a mid-tier grade, and practicing the route in Tutorial mode first helps.
  • Inflation: cash comes from kills and pickups. Players carrying a lot of money become High Value Targets and get revealed to the enemy team. Dying drops part of what you're holding, so going on tilt makes this one slower.

Is it safe to have someone else do it?

Verdict: there's low risk from how the work is done, but no service can honestly promise zero risk.

What matters most for bans is how the challenges get completed. Cheats, unlock tools and exploits are what get accounts flagged. At AstroBoost, verified boosters play real matches on your account by hand, the same way you would. That said, account sharing is still technically against Activision's terms, so any service calling itself "100% ban-proof" is lying to you. We don't make that claim. We do keep the process clean: no third-party software, no glitches, and normal play sessions.

On speed, nine challenges is a reasonable amount for someone who plays every day. The deadline is the real problem. If you're working through the week, you'll be trying to fit DMZ deployments, Ground War and a movement course into your evenings while also leveling your guns.

Related questions

Can you get the F.N.G. after November 6? Not through Boot Camp. Once the event ends, the challenges go with it. Activision hasn't said whether the blueprint will come back later, for example in the store, so treat this as your only confirmed chance.

Does the F.N.G. blueprint level up the M4? No. A blueprint is a preset build with a custom look. It doesn't add weapon XP. According to coverage, blueprints in DMZ skip the Weapon Manual system, so you can use the gun right away there.

Do the Boot Camp XP tokens stack with launch Double XP? They're normal 30-minute tokens, and the timer only runs while you're in a match. Save them for a long session instead of using them during a short break.

Do Boot Camp kills count toward camos? Yes. Any kills you get in Multiplayer or DMZ also count toward your weapon level and shared camo progress, so completing the event helps your camo grind too.

The bottom line

You can get the F.N.G. M4 for free if you have time for nine challenges in three modes, including a timed movement course and some DMZ printing, all before November 6. If your schedule won't allow that, our Boot Camp event completionfrom $22.99 gets all nine challenges and the blueprint done for you before the event ends.
