MW4 All Launch Weapons List: Which Guns Are Confirmed?
Modern Warfare 4 launches with 33 weapons on October 23, 2026, and Activision has named 22 of them through the Beta. Here's the full confirmed list, every unlock level, and what's still unannounced.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 launches with 33 weapons, and Activision has officially named 22 of them through the Beta across Assault Rifles, SMGs, Shotguns, LMGs, Marksman Rifles, Sniper Rifles, Pistols, Launchers and Melee — the other 11 have not been announced yet. So any "mw4 all launch weapons list" you find today is really a 22-of-33 list, and anything beyond those names is a leak. The real cost isn't finding the list, it's the grind attached to it: the Signal .50 alone unlocks at Player Rank 30 and carries 73 weapon levels, which is exactly the point where a MW4 weapon leveling boostfrom $4.99 starts to look reasonable.
MW4 releases on October 23, 2026, and the Beta is the only first-party preview of the arsenal we have. The Open Beta runs August 28 to September 1 across all supported platforms, including Nintendo Switch 2. Everything below comes from that official roster — no datamines.
MW4 All Launch Weapons List: The 22 Confirmed Names
Verdict: nine classes, 22 named guns, 11 blanks.
The named Beta weapons are the Han 86, M4, Hyeon Burst, Kastov 762, Patriot XMR, Axion, ISO Nightshade, PPSh-41, X-58 Nyx, Wz. 55 Striga, Rezi 12, FiNN LMG, Type 73, MAR-9, Oris 8.6, KG-7 Vulcan, Signal .50, Krait P68, .50 GS, Sang 9mm, PILA and Combat Knife.
Three of those are gated oddly: Axion and Sang 9mm only appear through Default Loadouts, while the Wz. 55 Striga shows up solely in the Entrenched Campaign mission. That leaves 19 guns in the normal Multiplayer pool.
Unlock levels for every rank-gated weapon
The Han 86, ISO Nightshade, Rezi 12, FiNN LMG, MAR-9, KG-7 Vulcan, Krait P68, PILA and Combat Knife are available immediately with no rank requirement. The other ten are earned:
| Weapon | Class | Unlock | Weekend |
|---|---|---|---|
| Type 73 | LMG | Rank 5 | One |
| M4 | Assault Rifle | Rank 9 | One |
| PPSh-41 | SMG | Rank 11 | One |
| Oris 8.6 | Marksman Rifle | Rank 14 | One |
| Hyeon Burst | Assault Rifle | Rank 18 | One |
| Kastov 762 | Assault Rifle | Rank 21 | Two |
| .50 GS | Pistol | Rank 23 | Two |
| Patriot XMR | Assault Rifle | Rank 25 | Two |
| X-58 Nyx | SMG | Rank 27 | Two |
| Signal .50 | Sniper Rifle | Rank 30 | Two |
Those early unlocks — Type 73 at 5, M4 at 9, PPSh-41 at 11, Oris 8.6 at 14, Hyeon Burst at 18 — are all reachable under the Weekend One cap, while the Kastov 762, .50 GS, Patriot XMR, X-58 Nyx and Signal .50 need the Rank 21-30 window that only opens in Weekend Two. One quirk worth knowing: the Assault Default Loadout lets you fire the Kastov 762 before Rank 21, the Breacher loadout includes the .50 GS before Rank 23, and the Sniper loadout hands you the Signal 50 before Rank 30. Using a gun and owning it are not the same thing. Also note Create-a-Class itself doesn't open until Player Rank 4.

What About the Other 11 Launch Weapons?
Unconfirmed. Full stop. The names of the remaining 11 launch weapons have not been published, and reputable trackers are deliberately separating first-party-named Beta weapons from footage-only identifications and leak lists. Anyone selling you a "complete 33-weapon list" right now is padding it with guesses.
Two naming inconsistencies are also floating around, and honesty beats confidence here:
- The Oris 8.6 is listed as the Oris 8.9 in some sources.
- Activision's own Beta article names the Level 30 blueprint two ways — a "Beta Forged" Han 86 blueprint in the rewards list, and a "Beta Forged" ISO Nightshade blueprint in the Weekend Two progression table. The reward is confirmed; the weapon it applies to isn't.
Rule of thumb before launch: if Activision hasn't printed the name, treat it as a rumour. We'd rather publish 22 accurate names than 33 half-right ones.
Why the Weapon Count Matters If You're Buying a Boost
Verdict: 33 weapons is a bigger grind than it sounds, because of Apex Attachments.
MW4 launches with 33 weapons and 28 Apex Attachments, with most weapons getting their own and some getting more than one — the Hyeon Burst and Kastov 762 already have two confirmed Apex options each. Of those 28, 19 are unlockable during the Beta. Apex unlocks sit at the top of a weapon's level ladder, and those ladders are long: the Type 73 has 57 levels and the Signal .50 has 73. Multiply that across a 33-gun arsenal and you understand why weapon leveling is the single most-bought CoD service every year. Our Apex Attachment guide covers how the unlocks actually trigger.
One more caveat on the meta: Infinity Ward has already nerfed the Oris 8.6 Razor, M4 Hurricane, Kastov 545 and Type 73 Assault Apex Attachments during the Beta. Don't plan your entire launch grind around Beta numbers.
Is It Safe to Buy MW4 Weapon Leveling?
Straight answer: it's lower-risk than account sharing, but nobody can honestly promise you a ban is impossible. Boosting isn't endorsed by Activision, and anyone claiming "100% ban-proof" is lying to you.
What reduces risk in practice:
- No credential handover. Our MW4 bot lobbiesfrom $4.99 run on your own account with no password required — you play, the lobby does the heavy lifting.
- Manual play, not software. No injectors, no scripts, no third-party executables touching the anti-cheat.
- Human pacing. Sane session lengths beat 20-hour XP marathons that look automated.
Compare that to buying a pre-levelled account (you lose your cosmetics and your rank history) or running sketchy trainers (the fastest route to a permanent ban). Boosting on your own account is the middle path.
Related Questions
Does Beta weapon progress carry to the full game? No. Player Rank, weapon unlocks and other normal Beta progression reset when the Beta ends, so your weapon unlocks and Weapon Levels are Beta-only. Eligible cosmetic Beta Rewards do carry — they stay tied to your Activision Account and become available at launch.
Can I skip unlock levels with the Vault Edition? Partly. Five weapons are Vault Signature Weapons: the Kastov 762, ISO Nightshade, Rezi 12, Oris 8.6 and Combat Knife, and Vault Edition owners get immediate access to them plus their special Blueprints. It buys access, not weapon levels.
Which gun is the longest grind? The Signal .50, on both counts — Rank 30 to unlock and 73 weapon levels to max. It sits at the very top of the ladder and is the last weapon most players add to their collection.
Does the new gunplay change what's worth levelling? Yes. MW4 removes hipfire bloom so shots land where you aim, and recoil and handling have been reworked to match player input more closely. Close-range guns benefit most.
Maxing a 33-weapon arsenal with 50-73 levels per gun plus Apex unlocks is dozens of hours of deliberate grinding, and most of it isn't the fun part of Call of Duty. If you'd rather spend launch week actually playing the maps, our MW4 weapon leveling servicefrom $4.99 handles the levels, attachments and Apex progression on your own account while you keep the kills that matter.
