MW4 Warzone Integration: When Does It Happen?
MW4's Warzone integration arrives with Season 1, and Activision still hasn't given a date. Here's the confirmed timing, the November 4 clue, what carries over, and what's still unconfirmed.

MW4's Warzone integration happens when Modern Warfare 4 Season 1 starts. As of October 12, 2026, Activision still hasn't announced that date. The only official word is that Season 1 arrives "shortly after" the October 23 launch. The best clue right now points to around November 4, but nobody has confirmed it.
That gap matters. Once integration hits, the guns you've leveled in MW4 Multiplayer and DMZ become the ones you can build properly for Warzone. If you won't have the hours to level them yourself before then, our MW4 weapon leveling servicefrom $4.99 is one way to start Season 1 ready. Playing the pre-season hard works just as well.
MW4 Warzone integration: when, exactly?
Verdict: Season 1, no date yet. Here's how the official facts stack up against the guesses.
| Claim | Status |
|---|---|
| Warzone integrates MW4 content and seasonal progression in Season 1 | Confirmed by Activision |
| MW4 launches October 23, 2026 | Confirmed |
| Season 1 arrives "shortly after" launch | Confirmed wording, no date |
| Season 1 starts around November 4 | Estimate. Based on the Black Ops 7 Season 06 Battle Pass timer |
| Season 1 lands in December | Estimate. Based on older launch-to-Season-1 gaps |
| Integration goes live on October 23 | Wrong. Some sites say this, but it doesn't match Activision's own wording |
The November 4 theory comes from Black Ops 7. Its final season started September 17, and the in-game Battle Pass timer runs out on November 4. Warzone usually switches to the new game when Season 1 begins, so the dates line up. That would leave only about 12 days between MW4's launch and the switch, which is short by recent standards. Black Ops 6 took about three weeks, and Black Ops 7 took about the same.
Two things can happen from here. Activision extends the BO7 timer, which it has done before, or Infinity Ward and Raven move faster than usual. Plan around November 4. Don't treat it as a promise.
Until Activision posts a Season 1 roadmap blog, every Warzone integration date you see online is a guess, ours included.
What changes in Warzone when integration lands
Verdict: new maps and a new meta. Your old guns stay, but you can't customize them anymore.
- Hajin becomes the battle royale map. Call of Duty announced it on August 21, 2026. It's a Korean Peninsula exclusion zone, the same setting as DMZ. One outlet called it bigger than Verdansk, but Activision hasn't published a size.
- Zodiac is the Resurgence map. It's the Beenox-built drone-manufacturing complex from the beta, with a double train line running through the middle.
- Shared progression. MW4 Multiplayer and Warzone share one seasonal Battle Pass. The Season 1 pass contents haven't been revealed. We track that in our MW4 Season 1 Battle Pass roadmap check.
- Ballistic Authority comes over. MW4's no-bloom gunplay system and its full arsenal become the Warzone standard.
- Raven balances MW4 weapons every two weeks, so the meta will move fast.
Does your old Warzone stuff carry over?
Verdict: mostly yes, with one big catch.
Early in the cycle, people widely expected a full Warzone wipe. That's out of date. Activision has since confirmed that Operators and weapons from MWII, MWIII, BO6 and BO7 stay usable in Warzone from Season 1, along with the Skins and Blueprints you own. A new Operator Skin Toggle lets you filter what you see down to MW4 Operators only.
The catch is customization. Older guns move to a Legacy tab in the Loadout menu. They lose Gunsmith and any custom loadouts you built. Each legacy base weapon gets one fixed five-attachment build from the Armory, and Blueprints keep the attachments they already have. In practice, that means a fully buildable, meta-ready Warzone gun has to be an MW4 gun.
Legacy camos are the one area where sources disagree. Activision's announcement, as several outlets quote it, says camos stay. At least one recent guide says legacy weapon camos are left out. Check the Season 1 patch notes before you rely on either.

Is Warzone shutting down on PS4 and Xbox One? Yes. New downloads on those consoles stopped June 4, 2026, and the in-game store was removed June 25. Last-gen access ends when Season 1 begins, so the integration date is also the shutdown date for those players.
Do MW4 Warzone mastery camos count before integration? MW4 has three Warzone mastery camos: Parallax, Damascus Reforged and Empyros. You can't earn Warzone-mode progress in MW4 until Warzone actually runs on MW4. Our breakdown of what unlocks Parallax, Damascus Reforged and Empyros covers what's known.
Is the Russian part of Hajin in at launch? No. Infinity Ward has said the Russian landmass comes in later seasons, with no season number or date given yet.
Quick answers
Will Warzone be MW4-based on October 23? No. On launch day you get MW4 Campaign, Multiplayer and DMZ. Warzone stays on BO7 until Season 1.
What's the most likely integration date? Around November 4, based on the BO7 Battle Pass timer. It's unconfirmed and could slip.
Should I level MW4 guns before Season 1? Yes, if you care about Warzone. Legacy weapons are stuck with fixed builds, so the MW4 arsenal is where Gunsmith, Apex Attachments and the balance patches will be.
With maybe 12 days between launch and integration, getting several MW4 weapons ready for Warzone means a lot of matches in a short window. If you'd rather drop into Hajin with your main guns already leveled, our MW4 weapon leveling boostfrom $4.99 is done by hand through normal matches.
