How to Farm Endgame Camos in BO7: The Complete Genesis Guide

Endgame camos in Black Ops 7 run Molten Gold to Moonstone to Chroma Flux to Genesis, and the fastest route is infinite-spawn Fear activities in high-CR Avalon zones. Here's the full method, the farm spots, and the mistakes that cost you weeks.

How to Farm Endgame Camos in BO7: The Complete Genesis Guide

Farming Endgame camos in Black Ops 7 means climbing one four-tier ladder per weapon — Molten Gold, then Moonstone, then Chroma Flux, then Genesis — and the fastest way to do it is to park on infinite-spawn Fear activities in high-Combat-Rating zones of Avalon instead of politely completing assignments. The Campaign/Endgame camo path is four mastery camos unlocked in order, each with its own Endgame-based objectives, and while the early tiers fall out of normal assignment play, the higher tiers demand targeted farming in the nastiest parts of the map. That's the honest version: it's a 30-weapon completionist grind. If you want the emerald capstone without three weekends of Avalon runs, our BO7 Genesis camo boostfrom $5.99 clears the remaining tiers by hand.

Everything below is the method itself — how the track works, where to farm, and the mistakes that quietly add hours.

What Endgame actually is (and why camo grinders like it)

Verdict: it's the calmest camo farm in the game, because nothing shoots back with an aim assist.

Endgame is a PvE extraction mode: you drop into Avalon, a huge open-world map, and race a 50-minute timer completing missions, leveling up, fighting bosses and getting out alive — no PvP, no battle royale, just you and a big lobby against the AI and the clock. Lobby size gets reported differently depending on the source — one puts it at 1–32 players with squads of up to four — so treat the exact headcount as fuzzy; it doesn't change your farm.

The important part for progression: weapon XP, camos and Battle Pass progress all feed off Endgame, and Endgame has its own challenge set awarding XP, camos and calling cards, most of them asking for a set number of kills with a specific weapon or method. Since the November 21 update the mode is open to every BO7 player, so you don't need a campaign clear to start.

How the camo chain works

Verdict: the per-weapon part is easy. The 30-weapon part is the grind.

Black Ops 7 has 16 mastery camos, four per mode. On any weapon you grind 9 Military camos and 3 Special camos, which unlocks that mode's first mastery tier — gold. You then climb three more tiers, and the final camo unlocks automatically once you've earned the previous tier on 30 different weapons.

Two rules people learn too late:

  • The four mode tracks do not share progress. Gold in Multiplayer does nothing for Molten Gold in Endgame.
  • Genesis is a count, not a challenge. There is no final mission — hit Chroma Flux on enough guns and it drops.

If Genesis is on your list, it's usually because you want the real capstone: Nexus Horizon, the global mastery camo that unlocks once every mode's mastery camo is complete on one account and then works on any weapon.

Genesis is 30 weapons deep. That means your bottleneck isn't skill — it's how fast those 30 guns level. Fix weapon levels first and the camo tiers fall over on their own.

Where to farm on Avalon

Verdict: go as high as your Combat Rating survives, then stop moving.

Avalon splits into four main difficulty zones plus the Nightmare Zone, a temporary Tier 5 area that spawns mid-match, all colour-coded on your tactical map.

ZoneRecommended CRUse it for
Tier 1CR 0–10 — beginner enemies, low rewardsFirst five minutes, orientation
Tier 2CR 10–29 — moderate difficulty, better rewardsAssignments, early weapon upgrades
Tier 3CR 30–44 — high enemy density; the stretch between the golf course and the casino has the map's highest Fear spawn densityBulk camo kills
Nightmare ZoneTemporary Tier 5Elite kills, high-risk challenge steps

That golf-course-to-casino corridor is the single best general-purpose camo lane in the mode. Kills come in packs, spawns refresh, and you're never more than a rotation from a workbench — weapon upgrades come from workbenches inside command centers, and pushing to green or blue tiers early raises your damage fast.

The infinite-spawn tricks

Verdict: two activities turn 30-minute challenges into two-minute ones.

The community has mapped these clean:

  • Fear kill challenges. Head to a Quadcore Site — the spawns are endless, as long as you don't actually complete the activity.
  • Drone and DAWG destruction. Find a Surveillance Control activity, get the flying drone's attention and stand still — it keeps spawning small drones overhead, which clears 25 destructions in roughly two minutes.
  • Upgrade before you farm. Clearing a Tier 1 base gets you at least an Uncommon upgrade, but a Tier 2 base pays out Rare/Blue — worth the extra fight.

Bring survivability, not flash. Crash Cart is one of the strongest Major Abilities for this, since it instantly revives you and nearby allies when you go down.

Combat Rating, exfil, and what a wipe really costs

Verdict: dying is survivable now. Not extracting still hurts.

Since Season 3, CR loss on a wipe is capped at 15 and you keep your base skill tracks when you die — but extraction is still the only way to hold on to Exotic and Nightmare Skills. One thing to plan around: Combat Rating is tied to a single Operator, so swapping Operators means a separate CR with no shared upgrades. Pick one grind Operator and stay on it — unless you're also chasing the 12 "No Fear" skins, which each require beating the final boss and extracting with that specific Operator.

Season 6 context: Avalon at night

Season 06 changed the farming environment. Black Ops 7 Season 06 launched September 17 at 9AM PT across all platforms, and night descends on Avalon, with Fears and Guild opponents hunting squads in the dark, plus the Forbidden Summoning Event where you unlock seals to free an ancient threat. The season also makes Endgame mandatory for event completionists: the Camo Event's Arcblade melee weapon and new camos require Weapon Class Camo Challenges across Multiplayer, Zombies, Endgame and Warzone. And for the truly unhinged, Season 06 adds the Arsenal Incarnate Prestige Title: the final Mastery Camo in all four modes, for every weapon.

Timing matters, because Season 6 is projected to be the final big update before Activision shifts to Modern Warfare 4, which arrives October 23, 2026. Lobbies for older titles thin out after a new launch. If Genesis has been on your list since launch, this is the window. Our Season 6 priority breakdown covers what else is worth finishing first.

Common mistakes

  • Chasing assignments when you need kills. Assignments build CR. Camo tiers want volume. Know which run you're on.
  • Spreading kills across 30 guns at once. Finish a weapon's Military and Special set, then rotate. Half-done guns count for nothing.
  • Farming Tier 1 at CR 40. You out-level the reward curve almost immediately.
  • Greedy runs. Staying for one more contract and wiping costs you the Exotic Skills you built the whole run around.
  • Assuming it's a bug. Endgame camo progress can look stuck for boring reasons — see BO7 camo not tracking fixes before you rage-quit.

The blunt maths: Genesis is four camo tiers across 30 separate weapons, and every one of those tiers sits on top of a weapon that has to be leveled first — realistically many evenings of Avalon runs. If you'd rather spend your last BO7 weeks playing Zombies or pushing Prestige, our Genesis camo boostfrom $5.99 handles the remaining Military, Special, Molten Gold, Moonstone and Chroma Flux work by hand, and a weapon leveling boostfrom $29.99 clears the 30-gun foundation underneath it.
