Is Warzone Ranked Play Still Available Before MW4? (Oct 2026)

Not really. Warzone Season 6 Ranked had a shortened run: three weeks of SR climbing, then a Ranked Series week with SR frozen. Here's what that means for your rewards and when the ladder is expected back.

Is Warzone Ranked Play Still Available Before MW4? (Oct 2026)

For SR climbing, no. Warzone's Season 6 Resurgence Ranked was a shortened run: about three weeks of normal SR play starting September 17, then a final Ranked Series week with SR frozen. That means the climbable ladder closed around mid-October, and Activision hasn't confirmed when it comes back. The best current guess is that it returns with the Modern Warfare 4 integration in early November.

If you're reading this hoping to push a few more divisions before Modern Warfare 4 lands on October 23, that window has basically closed. The useful thing to do now is get ready for the next one. Our Warzone Resurgence ranked boostfrom $4.99 is ready for when the new ladder opens. Below we cover what happened to Season 6, what you keep, and what's still unconfirmed.

The Season 6 ranked timeline

Short version: it was a sprint, and it's over.

Season 6 ("The Haunting") launched September 17. Raven set up Ranked differently this time: three weeks of standard Ranked Play, then one week of Ranked Series. SR froze for that last week, so whatever rank you had when the Series started is the rank you finished on.

Activision didn't publish exact cut-off times, so these dates are approximate. Check the Ranked tab in-game. If the playlist shows a countdown or a Series banner, that tells you what's live where you are. Our breakdown of the shortened Season 6 ranked season has the full reward list.

Why the final season was so brutal at the top

Verdict: Season 6 was the hardest Warzone Ranked climb this year. Raven did that on purpose.

Raven said it was seeing heavy SR inflation in Diamond and above, so it raised deployment fees in those divisions. Division breakpoints stayed the same. It also turned off every SR Challenge for the season. Here's what the patch notes changed:

Division (SR breakpoint)Old fee → New feeOld max SR → New max SR
Diamond I (5,400)65 → 75210 → 200
Crimson I (7,500)85 → 130190 → 145
Iridescent (10,000)→ 170→ 105
Iridescent (15,000)→ 270→ 5

At 15,000 SR, a perfect match earned you 5 SR. That's barely worth loading in for. Sources disagree on the old Iridescent fee figures, so we've only listed the confirmed Season 6 numbers for those rows.

Raven said it would use Season 6's data to tune Ranked for the Modern Warfare 4 integration. Expect the fee structure to change again, and don't assume the old Season 6 math will still apply.

If you want to know how fees eat into your SR, our deployment fee explainer walks through it.

What happens to the rewards you already earned

You keep them. You just can't earn any more of them.

Season 6 Warzone rewards ran on their own track, separate from BO7 Multiplayer Ranked. The headline unlock was the Glory of Gilgamesh Carbon 57 blueprint for 5 Top Placements. You also earned a calling card for each division from Silver up, a rank camo for each division from Gold up, and Top 250 rewards on top. In past seasons, end-of-season rewards were handed out after the season ended, based on the highest division you reached. Anything already unlocked stays in your inventory. Season 6 rewards won't be offered again.

Should you book a boost for the next ladder?

Verdict: it makes sense if you want the new season's top-division rewards and don't have 40+ hours to put into the climb. Here's the trade-off.

Pros

  • New ladders start out messy: unknown meta, new maps (Zodiac is the rumoured Resurgence map), and fresh placements. Experienced players get through that fastest.
  • Top-division rewards are usually tied to one season. Miss the window and they're gone, as Season 6 just showed.
  • You avoid the losing streaks that cost SR at Crimson and above.

Cons

  • Nobody knows the new fee structure yet, so honest delivery times can't be quoted until the ladder is live.
  • Any account-sharing service carries some risk under Activision's terms. We keep that risk low, but no service is ban-proof, and anyone who says theirs is isn't telling the truth.
  • If you enjoy the climb itself, you're paying to skip the part you like.

Related questions

Does my Warzone SR carry over to MW4? No. Your Season 6 rank and SR stay with Season 6. The next ranked season is expected to start fresh with its own placement and reward track. Activision hasn't detailed the MW4-era Warzone Ranked structure yet.

Do BO7 camos carry into MW4-era Warzone? Sources disagree. Several outlets report that BO7 weapon levels and mastery camos don't carry into MW4 multiplayer. On Warzone specifically, some reports say Activision issued a correction confirming camos won't carry, and others call the full-reset claim unconfirmed. Treat anything not on Activision's official channels as unverified.

Is Warzone ending on PS4 and Xbox One? Yes. Last-gen Warzone stays playable through the end of BO7 Season 6, and native access ends when MW4 Season 1 integration goes live, which is currently estimated at around November 6.

Will Ranked be live on day one of the MW4 integration? Unknown. BO7's own Multiplayer Ranked didn't arrive until Season 02, so a delay is possible. Warzone Ranked has its own schedule, though, and we'll update this page once Activision confirms it.

Climbing a new Warzone ladder yourself means figuring out a new fee system, a new meta and likely a new Resurgence map all at once, and that's a lot of hours before the rewards show up. When Ranked reopens, our Warzone ranked boostfrom $4.99 can do the climb so you can just enjoy the new season.
