BO7 Last Call Event: Mace Unlock + 3 Prestige Camos, 30 Levels
The Mace melee weapon is free in Black Ops 7 Season 5 Reloaded via the Last Call event track, then it's 30 weapon levels for three Universal Prestige Camos. Here's the fastest XP route, the numbers, and what happens when Season 6 arrives.

The Mace costs you nothing but time: it's a free reward on the Last Call event track that landed with Black Ops 7 Season 5 Reloaded, and once it's in your Armory you're looking at 30 weapon levels and three Universal Weapon Prestige Camos to clear. No attachments, no store bundle, no shortcuts inside the menus.
That's the good news. The bad news is that Last Call is a pure account-XP track, so unlocking the Mace means grinding raw XP in whatever mode pays best — and then grinding it again on a slow-swinging melee weapon to reach Prestige Max. If you'd rather not spend your evenings farming an event bar, private bot lobbies for BO7from $2.56 compress that XP curve hard, and you stay in the lobby the whole time.
What changed, and when
Season 5 Reloaded went live on August 20, 2026 at 9:00 AM PT across all platforms, closing out the Black Ops 7 Zombies storyline with Rex Infernus, adding the Nuketown-pinball Turbo Tilt map and the Freerun: Descent obstacle course, and handing out a new melee weapon plus two legacy Zombies guns. Treyarch has kept patching since — the August 28 update cleaned up Freerun: Descent fault counting and Rex Infernus exploits.
As of Season 5 Reloaded, the Mace is the only brand-new weapon in the mid-season drop. Everything else on the gun side is attachments: the RK-9 Calibrated Strike System and the Peacekeeper MK1 Gauss Accelerator.
One honest caveat before you start hunting. Sources disagree on the exact unlock gate. Several guides say the Mace sits on the Last Call Event Free Track, unlocked by earning XP in any supported mode with no Premium purchase needed, while others describe it as a Weekly Challenge reward tied to the mid-season update. In practice both paths run through the same place: open the Events tab, check the Last Call track and the current week's challenge set, and grind whichever one is showing the Mace icon for your account. Don't assume — look.
Why it matters
Verdict: the Mace is a cosmetics engine more than a weapon.
The Mace trades speed for power — it hits hard, has long reach, and swings slowly. It has 30 levels, supports Mastery Badges and Blueprint customization, and has no attachments at all. That last part is the interesting bit for grinders: no attachment unlocks means every level you push is pure progress toward the Prestige track.
Hitting Prestige 1, Prestige 2 and Prestige Max on the Mace unlocks Universal Weapon Prestige Camos you can then equip on any gun in your armoury. That's the actual prize. You're not levelling a melee weapon because you want to melee — you're levelling it because three universal camos ride on it.
If a camo is universal, the weapon that unlocks it is just a delivery vehicle. Pick the fastest vehicle.
The updated method, step by step
- Claim the free stuff first. Verifying your Call of Duty account email gives you the Veiled Aurora camo plus fifteen 2XP tokens — no gameplay required. Bank those tokens for the Mace grind, not for guns you've already maxed.
- Check the Events tab immediately. Last Call is XP-based, not challenge-based. You don't need to complete a specific task with a specific weapon or mode — the goal is simply as much account XP as possible while the event is live.
- Farm XP in your best mode. Multiplayer, Zombies, Endgame and Warzone all feed the track. Pick the one where you personally post the highest XP per hour, not the one a video told you about.
- Unlock the Mace, then swap loadouts. Melee-only loadouts are miserable on big maps. Season 5's small maps are your friend here — Turbo Tilt is a small 6v6 and 2v2 map built inside a giant pinball machine themed around Nuketown's history, which is exactly the kind of chaos a lunge weapon wants.
- Stack a 2XP token on every Mace session. Thirty levels is short. Don't waste half of it at base rate.
- Prestige three times. Prestige 1, Prestige 2, Prestige Max. Each one drops a universal camo.
Where to farm: mode comparison
| Mode | Feeds Last Call XP | Good for Mace levels | Catch |
|---|---|---|---|
| Multiplayer (small maps) | Yes | Best — melee kills land | Sweaty lobbies punish melee-only |
| Zombies (Rex Infernus) | Yes | Good early rounds | Melee falls off hard at high rounds |
| Endgame | Yes | Situational | Free access ends with the season — Season 6 locks Endgame to BO7 owners |
| Warzone | Yes | Weak | One bad landing = zero XP |
| Private bot lobbies | Yes | Best for pure levels | Costs money, not free |

The numbers worth knowing
- 30 — Mace max weapon level.
- 3 — Universal Prestige Camos on the Mace track (P1, P2, Max).
- 0 — attachments to unlock, so no wasted levels.
- 15 — 2XP tokens from email verification.
- Under 12 minutes with fewer than 10 faults — the Freerun: Descent requirement for the Gridlock universal camo, worth 5,000 XP on completion. That's the hardest freebie in this update, and it's a movement skill gate, not a grind.
The Last Call free track also carries the "Soph" Zaveri and "Trimmed" Richtofen Operator skins, a 1-hour Double Weapon XP Token, a Battle Pass Tier Skip and assorted cosmetics — so the XP you push for the Mace isn't single-purpose.
Is a service safe, and how fast?
Straight answer: nobody can promise you a ban-proof anything, and any store that does is lying. What reduces risk is how the work is done. Sessions run with you in the lobby and in control of your account — no password handover, no unfamiliar sign-in from another country — are the low-risk end of the spectrum. Fully automated tools and account sharing are the high-risk end. Treyarch has been explicit that it keeps building on its anti-cheat systems season over season, so assume detection is getting better, not worse.
Speed-wise, 30 levels on a single melee weapon is one of the shorter grinds in BO7 — the event XP needed to reach the Mace is usually the bigger time sink. If you want that account XP handled alongside it, a BO7 prestige and account level boostfrom $4.99 pushes the same bar the event reads from.
What to expect next
Season 6 is the wall. Reloaded is the last window for free Endgame access through the Warzone menu — from Season 6 it's BO7 owners only. Modern Warfare 4 is also bearing down, with CoD NEXT having run on August 21. Event tracks vanish when their event ends. Unlock the Mace now; prestige it whenever.
Realistically, clearing the Last Call XP track and then pushing a slow-swinging melee weapon to Prestige Max is a solid handful of evenings, most of it spent farming a bar rather than playing the Zombies finale. If you'd rather spend that time on Rex Infernus, our BO7 weapon levelling servicefrom $29.99 takes the Mace — or any gun in your armoury — to Prestige Master through manual play while you keep your account.
