Gearing: the final-drive method

Run the car up through the gears on a long straight and note where it tops out.
If it hits the rev limiter in top gear before the straight ends, lengthen the final drive (slide left). If it never reaches the top of the powerband, shorten it (slide right).
Leave individual gears alone until the final drive is right — most cars only need the one slider.
For drag builds, set the final drive so the car crosses the finish line just as it tops out in final gear.

What formula does this calculator use?

The weight-distribution interpolation used across Forza titles: Setting = (SliderMax − SliderMin) × axle weight % + SliderMin, applied per axle to springs, anti-roll bars and rebound, with bump stiffness set to roughly 60% of rebound. Offroad and drift builds are softened from the raw result.

Are these final race tunes?

No — they're starting points, the same stance every serious tuning guide takes. The formula puts you in the right region; lap testing and small adjustments from there beat any calculator.

Where do I find my car's weight and distribution?

Both are on the car's stats screen, and weight updates live in the upgrade menu as you add or remove parts. The slider min/max values appear on each slider inside the tuning menu.

Does it work for every car in FH6?

Yes. Because it interpolates within your car's own slider ranges rather than using fixed numbers, it adapts to any car, any suspension upgrade and any PI class automatically.
