What is Modern Warfare 4 (MW4)?

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 — commonly shortened to MW4 — is the next mainline Call of Duty title, developed by Infinity Ward and slated to release on October 23, 2026 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and (a series first) Nintendo Switch 2. It continues the rebooted Modern Warfare saga, with the campaign reportedly centered on a near-future conflict on the Korean peninsula and the return of Task Force 141.
